The Black and White project aims to better implement Article 12 in the Czech Republic. It combines legal expertise and fieldwork conducted with people with intellectual and psychosocial disabilities, their families or circles of support. The project is implemented by QUIP and the Association for support of people with intellectual disabilities and their families in the Czech Republic (Inclusion Czech Republic).
The “power of attorney in easy language” is a consulting concept to support people with disabilities to create proxies. It shows how to give other persons, by means of a legal document, power to issue declarations and perform legal acts for an individual.
The Nidus Personal Planning Resource Centre is a non-profit, charitable
organization. Nidus provides information in British Columbia about
personal planning, specializing in Representation Agreements (supported
decision-making agreement) and also operates a centralized Registry for personal planning documents.
The Personal Ombudsman (PO) is a model for supported decision-making which is independent from all authorities. The Personal Ombudsman helps his/her client with a wide range of issues, ranging from family-matters to housing, accessing services or employment.
