Some technologies have the potential to support the decision-making of people with intellectual disabilities greatly. Easy communication with friends and experts to give them advice is a simple example. However, there are also tools that guide people through a structured process, developing with them criteria for a decision and considering different options. At this point in time there are certainly still many security considerations and most likely this type of support will remain a complement to other practices.
